I want to clean my oil filter....so I reviewed the manual and removed the side cover. Then I noticed the filter was attached to a shaft that appeared to be connected to a chain. I didn't want to F@c& things up so I re-attached the side cover.
Any body have any words of wisdom? Does that whole shaft come out? ...what kind of drive it is a attached to? Bike has 4500 miles on it.
If I remember correctly the shaft pulls right out and then you can remove the oil slinger. You will have to fiddle with the chain to get it back in but it can be done. Also, I believe that you will need some O-rings for the slinger.
